Cut the thread, leave a 6 inch tail.

Repeat on the sides where you want the pigtails to be.

Cut the yarn strands for the pigtails and bangs and make two separate bundles, one bundle for the pigtails and one bundle for the bangs.

Slip the longer bundle under all three loops.
Arrange yarn strands.

Place short bundle on top of long bundle and arrange yarn strands.

(BACK OF HEAD) Pull thread really tight and tie a couple of times.

You can bury the thread ends or just trim them. Most of the time I bury unless I am making a very primitive Annie doll.

To bury the ends, cut the threads that are hanging in the back and thread them into your needle again. Enter the needle into the same hole the thread is in.

Go deep into the stuffing and exit out the back of head.

Pull the end of thread and snip the ends so that it goes back into the stuffing.

Trim the pigtails and bangs if you need to. Oh sew cute! Oh Sew Dollin! That is it, this cutie has pigtails!
